More than 1,000 people visited the Microsoft Accessibility booth, with 700+ diving into demos and conversations around accessibility and AI. Attendees also cleared more than 2,500 accessibility bugs using GitHub’s Accessibility Scanner.
The booth experience needed to be quick, clear, and hands-on. This demo guides attendees through realistic scanner output and what to do next, so accessibility discussions stay concrete and actionable instead of abstract.
The flow was designed for repeat use with different audiences: engineering, design, product, and leadership. It helps each group see where accessibility checks fit into their workflow and how they can act on findings earlier.
But the biggest takeaway was the momentum. People brought coworkers back to the booth, shared their accessibility journeys, and some even fixed website issues overnight after trying the scanner on day one.
Build reinforced something we’re hearing across customers and partners: accessibility is moving from awareness to action, and accessible AI is helping accelerate that progress.
The demo helped turn booth conversations into concrete next steps teams could take immediately, from adding scanner checks to CI/CD pipelines to making accessibility triage part of routine code review.
